The end of single player?

With games like Left4dead and Borderlands with incorporate co-op into the main campaign, should single player just be cut out completely and have all games be co-op?

NO! This is the very reason I didn't buy MAG. I love the shit outa the Beta but srsly, they can't expect me to pay full price for a multiplayer only game.

Agreed, I'm not touching MAG. It's just not right paying that much money for half a game.

The games I named have a single player campaign, but what if games slowly move towards more co-op, not completely cancel out the single? Will you still quit?

Single player makes a game what it is. Multiplayer is good and all, but it would be a complete betrayal to the gaming culture if developers started prioritizing multiplayer aspects over single player parts. I's honestly never buy a game that never had some sort of single player aspect behind it, because multiplayer can get really old really fast in certain games.

The only game I would buy that does not have single player would be a MMORPG, but even then it was to be something special. The last mmo I played was City of Heroes.

I'm the type of person who will replay a story mode over and over again so im pretty sure i would be on the side of leaving it in (i beat Brutal Legend about 8 times in the past 2 months. Me likey that game!)

I find single player games boring now. I love the interaction with other people. I wish there were more games like Left4Dead 1, 2.
