| So some of you might know about EA's free online MMOTPS called Battlefield Heroes and some may not. It's basically what happens when you cross a fun third person shooter that doesn't take itself seriously with a MMORPG. There's 3 different classes and 2 different armies, you have a little bit of customization to your character, but if you want REAL customization you can get Battlefunds that you can pay for, if not you get points for certain things including leveling up and completing missions. The mission system is sorta like in Call of Duty where you get objectives that you haveta complete and then you get some bonuses(usually just cash in this game). Now the unique thing about this game is the level-up system and the items and abilities. Each Class has their own specialty; the Commando is a fast moving Sniper that's also incredible with a knife but has low HP, the Soldier is an all-around balanced character with meduim HP and can use a SMG and a Shotgun not to mention they're the medic of the group, and last but not least the Gunner is the slow guy with tons of HP that has a shitload of powerful weaponry and can even throw kegs of gunpowder at their enemies. Each class has a bunch of unique abilities they can learn and level up, but another great thing about the game is how there's items to heal. It's like using a potion in a MMORPG! Also the abilities remind me alot of MMORPG abilities; like how the Commando can make his knife poisonous for an amount of time and when you hit an enemy it poisons them and they take poison, the medic uses what's basicly a healing spell that covers a radius around you that heals everyone and the more people around you the more HP everyone will recover. Anyways enough rambling on, if you want an incredible free game that kept me up until 3am lastnight check out Battlefield Heroes @ www.battlefieldheroes.com and Join the Royals Today! | |

| i've been teetering on whether i should get this game.... i broke my epic addiction to free PC shooters many years ago (by many i mean like one and a half) back in my Warrock days. I miss that game... i fucked up so many hackers ... but yah thats why i dont play freeware shooters anymore, either to many hackers, or to much anti hacker stuff like this game.. still i'll give it a try at some point it looks very promising and i love the change of style from the normal grimy gearsofdutylozone bloody shooter like we all see | |
