And in a way graphics can mean a number of things. There's no such thing as 'good' graphics, that would be an opinion. The best graphics to me would be the game Rogue Galaxy because everything looks so vibrant and alive in the excellent animation. Whereas a game like Metal Gear Solid 4 looks extremely realistic, it doesn't mean I like the graphics(i do, but im trying to make apoint). So yes graphics mean alot, it just depends on opinion not so much realism.

yeah. i don't care if the game looks too realistic, i just hate when a game only consists of 3 colors (grey, brown and black) somehow that just depresses me.

Green is the only colour needed as the Gameboy taught us. Also Resistance takes place in the 1940's they wanted to go for that black and white war video feel from WW2.

Graphics mean nothing to me, as you were just saying the Gameboy is simply green and black and it has some of my favorite games ever!

i feel so lucky to be born right in the MIDDLE of two major eras, and now that i think about it, im lucky my parents are cheap and just bought me a sega genesis instead of a ..."play...sta...tion?" it gave me a far broader love and understanding for video games, along with playing my cousin's SNES so by the time i got my N64, i was enough of a retro gamer... even tho i didnt see it as retro.... but w/e i just enjoy being a hybrid of retro and current video games, im lucky, most ppl my age can't appreciate the classics like i do cuz they didn't actually legitly grow up with them like all u old retro gamers Razz

Thing is, we're constantly driving for graphics that look realistic. What happens when we get to a point where graphics are as realistic as they can ever get?

dude im only 14, i have like 1 or 2 friends that like retro games and its sucks all my other friends are friggin PS3 fanboys and graphics whores. it sucks fudge biscuits. i was born in '94 but my family already had an NES and a Genesis so thats how i got into retro games
