he has the second most balanced stats at lvl 1 (Ditto has the most balanced, but he's not even counted really)
next to no weaknesses (then again, no real strengths, but whatever)
he looks so awesome.
and he's powerful if you get him right at the start of the game instead of when you're supposed to.

not to mention, if you feel like it, you can evolve him into the 3 other forms (but they're not nearly as awesome)

idk I never liked eevee or w/e its called, I'd perf snorlax now that he was worth catching or dragonair

When I use to play on pc snorlax use to be on my list all the time then I used the double GBA on the pc and got the 3 beginners and usually a flying or dragon type the 1 where you could catch sycther I use to use him for everything... dont remember what game that 1 was, but he was def the best pokemon, I change my answer I like Scyther forgot all about him, that and the herculean or w/e its called the bug 1 thats blue w/ big horn like things dont remember name
